Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a traditional yoga that combines postures, breathing and relaxation to prepare body and mind for meditation. Its name comes from two Sanskrit syllables: ha, the sun, and tha, the moon — an invitation to harmonise the opposing energies within us.
A gentle practice accessible to everyone, beginners and experienced practitioners alike, Hatha yoga offers slow postures, held for a while to fully reveal their benefits. Here, the breath guides every movement, in a constant dialogue between body and breath.
“Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.”

The structure of a session — 1h15
Each session follows a five-part progression, designed to guide body and mind from initial calm through to final integration.
- Initial relaxation (5 min) — Lying on your back in savasana, calm is established through awareness of the breath, inviting body and mind to refocus on the present moment.
- Warm-up (10 min) — Gentle mobilisation of the joints, pelvis and spine.
- Asanas (45 min) — Stable, comfortable postures, held for a few minutes to strengthen and deeply loosen the body.
- Pranayama (10 min) — Breathing exercises designed to calm the nervous system and regulate vital energy, prana.
- Final relaxation (5 min) — Lying on your back in savasana, the body absorbs and integrates the benefits of the practice.
No prerequisites needed
- There’s no need to be flexible: flexibility is a result, not a starting condition.
- Listen to your body: comfort comes before performance.
- Regularity matters far more than intensity.
