The Story of SWA
“My name is Julie. Following a painful event, I rebuilt myself through Ayurveda, in particular through a daily practice of yoga, pranayama, meditation and massage.
These practices allowed me to reconnect with myself, with my emotions, with what truly drives me. I understood that the body holds an essential place and that it is fundamental to take care of it. Today I feel aligned, serene, balanced, and I have managed to give real meaning to my life.
Convinced by this personal experience, I want to guide others on the path of Ayurveda, teaching them to take care of themselves and to soothe the ailments of body and mind, through a holistic approach. That is how I founded SWA.”
Why “SWA”?
SWA, pronounced “swa”, can be translated as “Self” in Sanskrit. This name felt obvious, because the most important person in the world is yourself.
SWA invites everyone, every day, to:
- Take care of yourself
- Know yourself with awareness and honesty
- Connect with your inner self
My journey
“As a yoga teacher and practitioner in Ayurvedic nutrition, lifestyle and massage, and founder of SWA, I care deeply about passing on the wonderful philosophy of yoga and Ayurveda.
After more than twenty years of personal practice, I trained under Satyanarayan Jha, who passed on to me his teaching techniques in the tradition of Swami Sivananda and Swami Satyananda Saraswati. I have held a diploma from the Satya Yoga Ashram school since 2023.
I also trained in the specific techniques of Atreya Abhyanga massage as well as the principles of a healthy lifestyle at the SATTVA school, alongside Gayatri Linda Bengaouer.
In 2025 and 2026 I received teaching from Vaidya Atreya Smith to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner. I hold a diploma from the EIVS (European Institute of Vedic Studies), founded by Vaidya Atreya Smith, as a Practitioner in Ayurvedic Nutrition & Lifestyle and Body Therapist in Ayurvedic massage.
Passionate about this path, I take great pleasure in progressing along the way of Ayurveda and will continue to draw from its teachings throughout my life.”
